On the 12th of November, we went to the SPCA shelter to do a real workshop and learn what they do to help the animals we saw different poses what dogs will do, and then we can tell what they are feeling. I enjoyed watching the workshop and meet a cute dog Panda!! he's only two and he's so big he will be bigger than me if I go on my hands and knees.

I wonder if I could go to the SPCA again.

The Museum Trip

 

We went to the museum And we learned heaps of things we meet our guide called Koka Maddie she showed and told all the things around the museum.

We built a waka haurua. we get a piece of driftwood put holes in them and put bamboo sticks in the holes then poke the cole co fabric and stick it on them you have got a waka you can detail it if you like.

We went for a treasure hunt or should I say props and carvings we found fish hooks a hoe Achor stone and some over things we study around rooms and found what voyagers had when they sailed around the sea.

We looked around the stars for me we went to the coolest room in the museum we went in the star dome we looked around the stars and the clusters we watched movies in thereabout how Maui discover Aotearoa and we watched about navigators.

I had a cool day at the museum we get to look around the rooms and we said goodbye thanks for having us and went back to school.

DLO

We did a DLO (digital learning object). we created a Voki that talks about my DLO. we did it for our learning map. I learnt there is heaps of way to be creative with apps. I enjoyed making a Voki that looks like me. I am wondering if any other values go with these values I have. 

Term 4 2020 Math grid

We did our math grid get 100/100 and get faster. We did it so we learn our timetables off by heart. I learnt I can get close to my fastest time just have to be quicker. I enjoy doing this it makes my brain think. I am still wondering if I can get near Mrs Hall's time witch is around 2 mins and I am getting times around 4 and 5 mins.

Term 4 Goals of the week

we have done another quote of the week and I put my holiday on it we do it so we get learning done better in class I learned that if I do my work in silence I do it faster I enjoy making goals of the week slides and talking about my holiday I wonder if i did anything else in the holiday.

Our Market Day

We are having a market day at our school. 

My group made horse treats when we mixed it up and the molasses mixed the ingredients and we looked like we had poop on our hands! Then when we are finished we are going to give the money to the SPCA .

I enjoyed making the treats and seeing the other groups treats the yummy things we put in there bacon berries apples. I am still wondering if the animals like the treats.

My Math Grid Results Term 3 Can I Bet Mrs Hall

We did a Math grid it is another one cause it is term 3.
We did it so we can get better at our times' tables and know some tricks and rules.
I learned a rule about my 20 timetables and it is a good trick for next time.

We had to do a report about hippos and then tigers or snacks I choose tigers.

We did it because in lockdown we are learning about how things fly and when we get back to school we do rocket staff.

T.E.D Lab

The task was to launch a bottle, that we are going to design to look like a rocket and we went into groups of 5 to 4. We did it because in lockdown we have done heaps of thing that stands for Tawhirimatea. I learned there are heaps of way things fly. I enjoyed doing this. Math grid 2020 term 2 results

I am trying to get my time tables done by trying to get my time tables correct and to get my time faster.

I did it because I want to get faster at it and so a can do it fast and get my 12 times tables correct.

I learned if I trust myself I can get a really high score 90 was today.

I enjoyed that I got a good high score.

I am still wondering if I can get 100 out of 100 and get 5:47 for my time.

My Reading

the task was to read this book on your computer about rockets and war. We did it so we learn about rockets more. I learned that rockets were used in the war and i did not know that. I enjoyed reading it. I am still wondering if rockets are used for something else.

My Wind Racer

We had to make a car then put a sail on it they were called WIND RACERS!!!!!!!!!! you can builded it out of Lego or cardboard.  We did it because we are Tawhirimatea  which is the wind. I learned that if you build a wind racer that if you put weight on it and you want it to go with out cheating you have to blow harder. I enjoyed building the wind racer car especially the stock car one. I am still wondering if i can build a..................... got cart.

The task was to make get piece of paper and put tap on then put it somewhere around your house i made 4 of them

We did it because we were testing the air and see how clean it is cause we can't see air around us we wanted to see how dirty it is or clean.
What I learned is that air is dirty in some places and others clean and also I Learned is that the (Air Collector) work.
I enjoyed putting the map together like finding our house (Dad's house) putting color in the pins and getting the Emojis.
I am still wondering if... there are more places that have dirty air.

My Letter Danielle

We had to write a letter to this person called Danielle she is an engineer, she is coming to our class room witch is called Tawhirimatea. Why I did it because she is coming to our class room to help build rockets with us so we wrote a letter to her so she knows who we are. What I learnt is that she has a really cool work she is friendly and she can't wait to help us and I can't ever. I enjoyed doing the letter about...  ME!!! and learning about her. I am still wondering if we can build other stuff with her and if her friends can come and help.

we did  my maps to look at the rocket stations.   we did it because we were going to learn about more rocket stuff.  i learned they still doing it.   i enjoyed changing the color on the pins. i am still wondering about if they still build rockets.

Tawhirimatea and the four Maori winds

The task was to make a myth about the four Maori winds and Tawhirimatea. We did it because we are learning about the wind and the wind stands for tawhirimatea the wind god.  I learnt that the south and the east wind are bad but we need them for plants to grow.  I enjoyed making the story and the Voki. My Blind Art

Miss Moat gave us another art challenge this time it was BLIND CONTOUR DRAWING!!!!!!!!!. When i was blind contour drawing i was thinking is going to be the exact model is going to be scribble scratch scratch. My soft toy because it is small and not that much detail. Kaitlyn Because i can't do hands and feet when i look at the paper and i am not good at glasses on someones face. I learnt that when people are blind and they what to draw it is hard for them. Next time I will try and draw he cats better.

My lego

I was playing with my Lego cause ever since my Anna place was broken i couldn't find a piece of Lego, that when i started to make my own creations. i did it because it was so much fun and i could make anything just sometimes i need a piece i just don't know what it is called. i learned it starts hard then when you do it a lot it becomes easier. I enjoyed making the Lego creations. I am still wondering if i could make a big castle with a roof and more walls.

Rocket Story

Rockets

We did a rocket task to do build Rockets and experiment how they work.  We did it because when we get back to school we are going to see how thing fly glide and think about the forces like... lift thrust drag and weight, I learned that there are different rockets and different forces that work in a different way. I liked building the rocket and making the materials turn into rockets. If they still build rockets.

Super Sonic Emily Bot

 I felt nervous when i wanted to do this then when the robot was coming out good i felt awesome that first time making a robot it looked good and it was......PERFECT!!!.   I enjoyed making the robot and showing everyone how it turned out.  trying to stick the bottle caps to the robot with the tape and keep needing more so it doesn't come off. don't use that much tape.

Kite flying

We were learning how things fly and glide in the sky. We did it because when we get back to school we are going to learn about it. I enjoyed making the kite and flying the kite.  I am still wondering about if there is other ways of surface areas and wind that are used in the world.

Different catapult plane 2

We are learning about things that glide and fly in the air this time I built a different plane with a rubber band. We did it because when we go back to school we are going to learn about things that go in the air. I learned that when you pull the rubber band back if you did it short it won't go far but if you pull it more it will go far also to ame your plane up so it also can go further when it's in an angle. I enjoyed making a different plane and also  I enjoyed when I put the answer in the fill out sheet. I am still wondering If  I can make any planes around 5, 6,7,8 and 9 meters or even 10 kilometers.

Izabella-rose in nature

Miss moat gave us an art challenge. I learned that nature art is quite better than real art. I enjoyed making me to look like me. I am still wondering if I could do a harder one.

Catapult plane

 It  was fun building a catapult plane it was hard not to pull it further than the centimeter it was meant to be. I enjoyed making the plane and measuring how far it went I am still wondering if I can get it up to 15 or 30 centimeters. I learnt that at 5 and 10 centimeters can go to 2 meters I can't believe that five can go so far. we did it because we was learning about how things fly and glide in the air.

Quote Of The Week

On the 15 of April we  do a quote witch is we get a poem and we think what it means. Today's quote was "The secret of CHANGE is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new."  I learned how focus on your energy not your old energy you are building a new energy. I enjoyed what I think about the quote to sharing it with you. I am still wondering what the quote actually means.

Strength

Thursday we went and put heaps of strength  cards on the ground we have to pick a card and get two other people who have a simmler card to your's then make a freeze frame i got careful so i cut a peace of paper Riley came over she was thoughtful and said to Anna she could not be so Anna helped she was helpful.

S.E.S WW2

One day Mrs Hall did a role play of World War two the shortest way is WW2 we learned how bad it was in London from all the bombs that were firing also in Germany, we sat on the mat at school we went to a staff meeting and talked about it.

We choose what job we will do. I choose Adult training because you really need that because if the children are sad and adults are being mean that won't help at all they will get really sad. So I choose that I am going to be the question taker so we know that you are not lying.

We have to get the kids to safety. There is 1300 We were going to take them to York so we send 500 there then we didn't realize that near York was bombing we found another place called new castle we went there instead.

On 2 trains we've got 2 carts 1 of the trains had 10 and the speed trains we've got 12.
we have been doing staff meeting for about 1 week

We are going to train the adults seeing if  they are making sure that that the children are sleeping well eating the food  they don't like or allergic to.

How good am I at my times tables?

Every week at Makaraka school in Tawhirimatea we are learning our maths grid 10 out of ten in 6 Mins. We are doing it to get better at maths with are times tables trying to get 100 correct. I learned it was much harder it had 11 12 20 but 20 is a little bit easy.
I enjoyed that with harder times tables that I got 52 straight away I thought I was going to get about 29 correct.

I am still wondering if  I could beat Mrs hall
